Barack Obama class enjoyed the sunshine this afternoon while getting their sunflowers for our competition off to a start.
Today we have been remembering Stephen Lawrence and learning about his life. We learnt about his special skills and talents and also thought about our own skills and talents within Barack Obama class. The theme for today is to ‘Live your best life’ so we have been discussion what this means. We also thought about friendship and how we can be good friends to one another. We created our own pebbles including inspirational quotes and messages.
This week in our Chinese culture lesson, we learned about Chinese characters and had a lot of fun practicing Chinese calligraphy. We also wrote the character “春”, which means spring in Mandarin.
This term Year 6 have based our writing lessons around Alex Rider. We have all designed our own spy gadget then wrote a persuasive text trying to sell it to potential customers!
The final outcome was so beautifully presented it looks fantastic on our classroom display!
Today in our Mandarin culture lesson, we practised Chinese jump rope skills. We cheered each each other on and worked as a team! We have some very talented skippers in Barack Obama Class.
In PE this week Barack Obama class have been perfecting their skipping skills. All term we will be learning about different ways to improve our fitness level.
Barack Obama Class have settled back into school wonderfully. We’ve had lots of fun this week and enjoyed being back together.
It has been British Science Week and the theme was Innovating for the Future. We enjoyed learning about inventions of the past and looked at our most recent life changing innovation; the coronavirus vaccine.
